‘The IMC was very much involved in what had been planned for Easter with other churches. This included being on the market place at Easter to give away books, messages and Easter eggs. Due to this being cancelled we had a vast amount of eggs already purchased.
So what happened to the eggs?
The eggs have gone to the EBC food hub. Some of them are now on their way to Ilkeston Hospital to be distributed to hard working key staff. Some of them have gone to the Fire Station so that fire service staff can deliver them alongside prescriptions.
All the eggs will carry a message which says “with love from the Ilkeston Churches”
With a huge “thank you” to the Church of Christ on Adam Street for getting the eggs and liaising with Sue Dunkley to make the distribution possible. And keep listening to Erewash Sound – Rev Christine French (Kirk Hallam All Saints) will be giving the distribution a mention.’
